I have taught in the Goddard School District for 40 years. During this time I have taught first and second grades.
My husband, Paul, is a Trust Officer and Vice President at the Trust Company of Kansas. We have two children, Elizabeth and Evan, both are graduates of Goddard High School. Elizabeth graduated from KU and is a kindergarten teacher here at CDS. Elizabeth (Liz) is married to our wonderful son-in-law, Shane Ewing. Shane is a news anchor for KAKE TV. They are proud parents of my grandchildren, Brynn and Beckett. Being a grandparent if the BEST! Evan also attended KU and received a B.S. degree from K-State Salina in May. He is currently continuing his professional pilot accreditation at K- State Salina.
I am looking forward to another wonderful year teaching first grade. I know your child will learn many new skills this year. It is important to remember that just as children grow and change physically at very different rates they will acquire academic skills at varying rates. Celebrate each degree of success with your child throughout his/her academic years.
