I was born and raised on a farm in Winfield, Kansas. My mom and dad still live there!
I am the oldest of 3 kids. My sister and her husband are both teachers and live in Emporia with my adorable nieces. My brother is an actuary and lives in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
I graduated from Emporia State University in 2000.
I earned my Masters of Arts in Education from Baker University in 2004.
I earned my Master's of Library Science from Emporia State University in 2016.
This is my 21st year of teaching. I taught 5th grade for 3 years here in Goddard, 11 years as a 3rd Grade Teacher at CDS, and six years as the CDS Library Media Specialist! This is my first year as the Title 1 Math Coach.
I was selected to attend the Mickelson ExxonMobil Math and Science Teachers Academy in 2011.
I have been married to my husband, Andy, for 17 years. He has a landscaping degree from K-State and works for Site One Landscapes, a wholesale nursery.
I have 2 children, Karaline, who is a Freshman at GHS and Cody, who is a 5th grader at Challenger.
I enjoy reading, baking cookies with my kids, and scrapbooking.
